SUN.DAY OF
LONDON

Afar Launch event

Situation: Sunday of London, a luxury fragrance brand, prepared to introduce their debut perfume, Afar, with an impactful event. Our task was to create an unexpected, immersive concept that would put Sunday on the ones to watch list.

Task: As the creative lead, my goal was to craft an immersive experience that resonated with Sunday's ethos. Collaborating with the team, we developed evocative concepts for the Sunday founder's review. The founder had already sourced the cafe location, my task was to ensure it told the story.

Action: Inspired by Founder Natasha’s cultural background and Afar's essence, we balanced contemporary aesthetics with nostalgic undertones, curating the venue with dried flowers, antique accents, and ambient lighting.

Central to our vision was the café experience, designed to immerse guests in a sensory journey. Fragrances are showcased akin to a delicatessen, inviting attendees to explore and engage with Afar's palette. The menu offered a refined take on nostalgic cafe style dishes such as pastries, toasties and cakes with a fusion of Eastern European and Middle Eastern flavours.

With the café as our canvas, we ensured every detail contributed to the immersive experience. From the decor to the culinary selections, each element was thoughtfully curated to evoke a sense of nostalgia and transport guests to a world where urban sophistication met the tranquility of nature.

Result: Our planning has led to an immersive sensory experience designed to exceed expectations for the launch of Afar. Guests will explore a curated café setting, engaging with a delicatessen-style fragrance display and culinary fusion of Eastern European and Middle Eastern cuisines. This integration of scent and taste reinforces Sunday of London's commitment to crafting resonant moments, cementing their status as industry visionaries.
